Feb. 17, 2025: The 16th death anniversary of Dr. Th Kishan, Y Token, and A Rajen, who were tragically killed by anti-social elements, was observed today with a solemn commemoration.
The event took place at their burial site near Uripok Cheirap Court in Imphal, where floral tributes were offered in their memory.
A discussion themed “Chungsinnabana Punsinnabada Laihanli” was organized, focusing on the significance of their sacrifice and the ongoing fight against societal threats.
Notable figures present at the event included Retired Principal Professor Ch. Sheelaramani of Thouramduda DM College of Arts, Bijoy Kakchingtabam, President of AMWJU, Tourangbam Brajakumar, Director of Environment and Climate Change, and MANIL Chairman Soram Tekendrajit.
MANIL Secretary Kapur Yumlembam, speaking at the occasion, emphasized the importance of collective efforts to preserve peace and uphold justice. He also spoke about the vital role of community solidarity in addressing violence.
The event saw the active participation of various organizations, including Meira Paibi Ema Ebel, local clubs, and civil society groups, all reaffirming their commitment to justice and peace in the region.
