The first-ever Lamlai Kendra Shri Iboyaima Memorial Rhymes Competition was held today at Smart Modern School, Nongada, under Lamlai Assembly Constituency in Imphal East.
The event was inaugurated in a lively atmosphere with the presence of Naorem Prempiyari, retired Principal of Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School, Achoibam Ibesana, Chief Managing Director of Smart Modern School, and Principal Tongbram Joymati.
A total of 34 young students from various schools participated in two categories, showcasing their talent and creativity in rhyming verses.
Principal Joymati, in her address, highlighted that such competitions are vital to nurturing early learning and building confidence among children.
Dr. Achoibam Gyanan, founder of the school, pointed out the lack of officers being produced from Lamlai AC in services like MCS, IPS, engineering, and others.
He expressed hope that the school will continue to contribute towards shaping a progressive future generation rooted in values and knowledge.
