Jan. 24, 2025: Manipur Police arrested two members of the proscribed KCP (PWG) with arms, ammunition, and cash while they were attempting to extort money from the general public.
The arrest was made on Thursday in the Uningkhong area, under Khongjom Police Station, Thoubal District, while the individuals were engaged in extortion, according to Manipur Police.
The arrested members of the outfit have been identified as Thokchom Luxmikanta Singh alias Hapu (28) and Dinesh Thokchom alias Don (23). During the operation, the police recovered two 9mm pistols with magazines, five 9mm live rounds, three mobile handsets, Rs. 10,000 in cash, and one four-wheeler.
