April 8, 2026 (IMP): In the aftermath of the Tronglaobi bomb attack, security forces carried out a massive operation in nearby areas of Churachandpur district.
The first operation led to the arrest of 3 UKNA cadres with the recovery of 1 AK-47 with a magazine and 25 rounds, 1 pistol with 15 rounds, 21 kg of raw opium in two sacks, along with Rs 20,000 in cash. Police sources identified them as Jampao Kuki, Sasang, and Paulallem Vaiphai.
Further operations in the Molphei Tampak area in Churachandpur also led to the recovery of 01 (one) MP-9 automatic rifle, 1 (one) pistol with magazine, 02 (two) Lathode tubes, 01 (one) Pumpi (locally made cannon), and 05 (five) 70 mm cartridges.
