March 31, 2026 : Auditions for the upcoming Kai Fashion Weekend 2026, scheduled to be held from April 24 to 26 at the City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, have officially commenced with an enthusiastic response from aspiring models across the region.
As part of the initial phase, height screening for participants was conducted, during which 34 female contestants have already been shortlisted. Meanwhile, the screening process for male participants is still underway at the time of filing this report.
Following the completion of height checks, selected candidates will proceed to the audition round. Speaking on the development, the Director of Kai Fashion Weekend, Sailex Ngairangbam, stated that participants from both hill and valley regions have turned up in significant numbers, reflecting the growing interest in the fashion industry.
As per the event guidelines, male participants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 10 inches, while female participants are required to be at least 5 feet 6 inches tall to qualify for auditions.
The shortlisted candidates will go on to participate in the three-day fashion event beginning April 24. The show is expected to feature four segments per day, showcasing emerging talents and diverse fashion expressions.
