In a joint anti-narcotics operation carried out yesterday, security forces, in collaboration with the Forest Department and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), reportedly destroyed nearly 41 acres of illegal poppy cultivation at the hill ranges of Kotlen village under Kangpokpi Police Station in Kangpokpi district.

During the drive, the teams were stated to have dismantled 23 makeshift huts found inside the plantation areas. They further destroyed nine bags of fertilizers, 11 packets of herbicides, four bags of salt, and various other cultivation tools and materials believed to have been used for poppy farming.
