Feb. 16, 2025: The 4th State-Level Sarit-Sarak Championship 2025 concluded successfully today, hosted by the Sarit-Sarak Association of Manipur in collaboration with the Eastern Thang-Ta Organisation, Tangkham.
The event took place from February 14 at the Tangkham Makha Leikai Community Hall, Imphal East, with great participation and enthusiasm.
The championship saw a total of 146 participants, including 73 male competitors, 47 female competitors, and 26 officials, representing various organizations and associations across Manipur.
The Eastern Thang-Ta Organisation of Tangkham emerged as the overall champions, accumulating 132 points. Meanwhile, the Ima Panthoibi Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta & Culture Association of Utlou finished as the runners-up with 52 points.
The closing ceremony was graced by several guests, including Nongthombam Rajendro, Founder President of ICHAM, who attended as the chief guest. The event also saw the presence of Sarit-Sarak Federation of India President Nameirakpam Jiban Singh, Zilla Parishad Member Khundrakpam Usham Indrakumar, and Deputy Grand Master of the Sarit-Sarak Federation of India Sintakpurel Thiyam Kora Singh, who were honored as guests of honor.
During his address, the chief guest, Nongthombam Rajendro, praised the Sarit-Sarak martial art and expressed his hope for more participation in the future. He emphasized the importance of discipline, strength, and unity in shaping the community, urging the youth to keep practicing and perfecting their skills.
The event concluded on a high note, with participants and organizers looking forward to the continued growth and success of Sarit-Sarak in the region.
