Continuing its initiative to inspire young learners, the Library and Information Centre, Kakching, hosted the 548th edition of its “Special Sunday” programme at Phousupat Leikai on Sunday morning. The session, attended by nearly 120 students, ran from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM.
The event featured Pukhrambam Premchandra, a Lalit Kala Akademi award recipient, and Nongmaithem Nandaraj, who won the award in 2013–14, as the day’s resource persons. They shared insights on cultural traditions, rituals, sculpture, and fine arts, engaging students in an interactive dialogue designed to spark creativity and broaden their perspectives.
Members of the centre including Naorem Nimai, Salam Rameshwar, Kshetrimayum Tomchou, and Yengkhom Surchand also attended. An open quiz session, led by secretary Kshetrimayum Joykumar, added a lively touch to the morning, encouraging active participation among students.
