The 63rd Mr. Manipur 2025 bodybuilding championship concluded with grand success as Laitonjam Reshikanta Singh of United Gym, Naoremthong, emerged as the Senior Overall Champion, securing the most prestigious title of the event.
The two-day championship, organised by the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) in collaboration with the Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU), was held from December 13 to 14 at the Manipur University Auditorium, Canchipur.
The championship witnessed participation from 160 athletes representing 53 gyms across Manipur, reflecting the growing bodybuilding culture in the state.
In the master categories, Wahengbam Kiran Singh of MPSC emerged first in the 40–50 years group and also clinched the Master Overall title, while Sanasam Ranjan Singh of X-Fitness, Wangkhei, secured first place in the 50–60 years category. The 60 years and above master category was topped by Ngashepam Tiken Singh of RCC YAS, Khuman Lampak.
In the Men’s Sports Physique (Open) category, Oinam Libert Meitei of MK Fitness Center, Tera, secured the first position. In the women’s sections, Laishangbam Sonia of Muscle Factory, Kakching, won the Women’s Model Physique (Open) title, while Phila Yangya of Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul, claimed the Women’s Bodybuilding (Open) crown. In the Physically Challenged (Open) category, Naorem Jayanta Singh of Royal Fitness Academy, Thoubal, finished first.
Among the junior competitors, Anoubam Sushilkumar Sharma of Sangai Gym, Khagempalli, secured first place in the 55 kg category; Pibathoi Moirtangthem of Muscle 360, Khongjom, topped the 60 kg category; Sandam Robert Meitei of Friends Fitness Gym, Tera, emerged first in the 65 kg category; Rajkumar Mangal Singh of Super Gym, Khurai, claimed the 70 kg title; Leishangthem Roshikumar Singh of Muscle Factory, Kakching, won the 75 kg category; and Mayanglambam Olenjit Singh of DJ Gym and Fitness Center, Kakching, secured first place in the 75+ kg category. Mayanglambam Olenjit Singh also went on to win the Junior Overall title.
In the senior categories, Lunglikpou Kamei of City Gym, Lamphel, claimed the 55 kg title; Laishram Neta Singh of United Gym, Naoremthong, emerged first in the 60 kg category; Mayanglambam Oliver Meitei of Sangai Fitness Center, Kakching, won the 65 kg title; Jenchui Rongmei of Liangtuang Gym, Kamei Foundation, Thangmeiband, topped the 70 kg category; Wahengbam Kiran Singh of MPSC secured first place in the 75 kg category; Mayanglambam Olenjit Singh of DJ Gym and Fitness Center, Kakching, won the 80 kg title; Wangkhairakpam Priyobarta Singh of Liangtuang Gym, Kamei Foundation, emerged champion in the 85 kg category; Kshtrimayum Niraj Singh of Evolution Fitness, Thoubal, clinched the 90 kg title; and Laitonjam Reshikanta Singh of United Gym, Naoremthong, secured first place in the 90+ kg category, eventually emerging as the Senior Overall Champion of the championship.
In the team events, Muscle Factory, Kakching, emerged as the Team Champion, while United Gym, Naoremthong, finished as first runner-up and DJ Gym and Fitness Center, Kakching, secured the second runner-up position.
The Best Coach award was conferred on Maradona Kshetrimayum, and Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul, recorded the highest participation with 14 athletes taking part in the championship.
