Senapati, 14th August 2025 (DIO–IPR): The District Administration, Senapati, concluded the 79th Independence Day Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament today at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati.
The Deputy Commissioner of Senapati, Mamoni Doley, IAS, along with district officials, witnessed the final matches of both the men’s and women’s categories under the District Administration of Senapati. The finalist participants displayed their utmost skill, effort, and tireless spirit.
In the men’s category, James Panii, MCS, Sub-Divisional Officer of Lairouching, and Chilivai Phaibung clinched the championship title by defeating Namcharei of DC Office 2-0 (21-7; 21-16), followed by Thehao in 3rd position.
In the women’s category, Itsa of DC Office defeated Vaveinai of DIO (NIC) 2-0 (21-10; 21-13) to clinch the championship.
The winners of the 79th Independence Day Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament will be felicitated on 15th August 2025 during the Independence Day celebration.
