Jan 19 2025: Have you ever seen a child’s vivid imagination in words, those imaginative images in a literary narration? In Manipur, an eight-year-old girl name Ningthoukhongjam Vasilisa unveiled her debut storybook, “Vasilisa’s Tales” on Sunday at Manipur Press Club.
The 8-year-old writer, unveiling her tales on Sunday, captivated a small but audience of seasoned writers, intellectuals, and admirers by unveiling with her imaginative world bringing to life inside a small hall of Manipur Press Club.
The function was grace by personalities including Professor Rajen Tojamba, convener of the Manipur Language Advisory Board, and Maibam Dhanabir Meetei, editor of Hueiyen Lanpao and the event also celebrates the young author’s literary achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Rajen Tojamba praised Vasilisa’s storytelling prowess, highlighting the importance of nurturing young literary talents in Manipur.
The event concluded with expressions of admiration for Vasilisa’s accomplishment and hopes for her future contributions to Manipuri literature.
