DEC 15, 2025: Though cold this winter may seem, it is a winter of hope for Manipur as BJP MLA Dr Thokchom Radheshyam optimistically referred to yesterday’s BJP high-level meeting in Delhi as “a good beginning is half completed,” which can be interpreted as half of the people’s wishes have been fulfilled, and the best is yet to come. Wait and watch.
The BJP MLA of Heirok AC, who attended the meeting yesterday, was present at a function at the Manipur Press Club, Imphal, on Monday afternoon when he was stopped and questioned by media persons regarding the outcome of the meeting. Responding to the queries, the MLA said, “Let’s be positive; it is a matter of time,” and termed yesterday’s meeting as one that “served the common goal,” which is peace, adding that the Centre will decide further based on the people’s wishes.
Irrespective of which community the MLAs belong to, all came together as one to achieve the primary objective of peace and development, the MLA informed. He further added that “some things are within our control and some are beyond our control,” and that yesterday’s meeting was aimed at making Manipur a peaceful state.
Earlier this morning, MPCC president K. Meghachandra criticised the meeting, describing it as BJP MLAs turning into students attending a crash course to justify administrative failure.
