A Tata Dipper (registration number MN06T 3264) reportedly hit at least three parked two-wheeler vehicles before crashing into three more vehicles, including one Alto car, resulting in injuries to one person.
As per sources, the incident took place on Tuesday at around 7:30 p.m. along National Highway 102 (Imphal–Moreh Road) within the jurisdiction of Thoubal Police Station, at Thoubal Athokpam area. Reports said the Tata Dipper was coming from Khangabok toward Thoubal at the time of the accident.
The injured person has been identified as Thongram Arun (36), son of (late) Ibotombi, a resident of Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai. He was reportedly serving with the Thoubal Commando Unit.
