Transgender social activist Malem Thongam, who has been on a peace journey titled “Cycling for Manipur Peace,” reached Buxar in Bihar today. She had earlier crossed the Uttar Pradesh border, where she was warmly assisted by SI Harishankar Yadav and a team of the Bihar State Police, ensuring her safe passage and security arrangements.
Upon arrival, Malem visited the Shri Adinath Akhara Temple in Buxar, offering prayers for peace and harmony in Manipur.
Speaking to locals and well-wishers, she shared that her journey aims to spread the message of unity, love, and restoration of peace in Manipur while also seeking support from people across states.
Her cycling expedition, which has so far covered 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh, has received widespread cooperation from both police officials and citizens.
Authorities in Bihar have also extended their full support to her continued mission for peace. Malem expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar for their warm reception and reaffirmed her determination to continue spreading her message of harmony across India.
