In an effort to assess the prevailing security dynamics in Manipur, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, Additional Director General (ADG) of BSF Eastern Command, Kolkata, undertook a two-day visit to the state from August 1 to 2. The visit aimed at reviewing the operational preparedness of BSF companies deployed across violence-affected areas.
Upon arrival at Tulihal International Airport, Imphal, the ADG was received by Ravi Kant, Inspector General of BSF M&C Frontier, along with senior BSF officers. During his visit, he called upon the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, and later held meetings with Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh and DGP Manipur, Rajiv Singh.
The ADG also visited multiple BSF deployment points in Thoubal, Bishnupur, and Churachandpur districts, where he interacted with commanders and troops, reviewing on-ground operational strategies. At STC Churachandpur, he addressed officers and jawans during a Sainik Sammelan, lauding their commitment and urging them to perform their duties with the utmost dedication and professionalism to maintain law and order in the state.
Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal departed for Kolkata today, after a series of critical engagements aimed at fortifying the BSF’s role in ensuring peace and stability in Manipur.
