Imphal, 7th Dec.: The Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) Centre Church, Imphal, organised the Advent Christmas and Afternoon Worship Ceremony 2025 on Sunday, 7th December, bringing together worshippers, families, and church members for a meaningful day of prayer, music, and fellowship. The programme began with the Advent prayer service, marking the season of anticipation and spiritual preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ. Children of the church presented joyful songs and dance performances, while youth and young adults also contributed through musical presentations, creating a warm and festive atmosphere inside the church. MBC Centre Church, a key congregation under the Manipur Baptist Convention, is known for its active role in strengthening faith, promoting unity, and fostering peace within the community in Imphal.
Speaking to the media after the celebration, Rev. Zuankamang Daimai, Pastor of MBC Centre Church of Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church, reflected on the meaning of Advent. He said Advent Christmas symbolises the joy of waiting for the arrival of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, and is a time filled with joy, peace, love, and happiness. Rev. Daimai conveyed a message of harmony, urging people to love, accept, and forgive one another so that everyone can live together peacefully. He reminded that God, the loving and living Almighty, has given peace to humanity, and it is the responsibility of the people to practise living in peace, loving one another, and forgiving one another.
The event concluded with worshippers stepping out of the church after the prayer service, exchanging greetings, and sharing the spirit of the Advent season. The programme wrapped up with a warm high tea fellowship, where attendees spent time together in friendly conversation, marking a pleasant and meaningful close to the celebration at MBC Church, Imphal.
