In a strike against the circulation of dangerous weapons, security forces today seized an AK-47 rifle, an improvised sniper gun, 2-inch mortar rounds, grenades, and explosives during twin recovery operations in Bishnupur and Kakching districts.
At Nachou Kha Mamang Patton under Bishnupur Police Station, forces recovered a large cache including a 9mm pistol, two improvised 9mm pistols, SBBL guns, an improvised sniper with sling, No. 36 hand grenades, mortar rounds, assorted live ammunition, a telescopic sight, bullet-proof plates, helmets, and other items.
In a simultaneous operation at Kharungpat Marin, Buffalo Farm under Kakching Police Station, the team recovered an AK-47 rifle, single-barrel guns, pistols (one loaded), tear-smoke grenades and shells, detonators with wires, IDL Class-II explosives, a tube launcher, a communication handset, and a pair of boots.
