Feb. 12, 2025: BJP leadership, both in the center and state, continued to remain tight-lipped on their future course of action and decision on the current political situation in Manipur, and BJP NE in-charge Sambit Patra was seen going inside the Manipur Raj Bhawan Manipur this morning to meet Manipur Governor. However, he had not spoken anything while coming out after meeting with Manipur Governor, which lasted around 50 minutes.
The gravity of the situation indicated further meetings are likely to be stressed out with BJP lawmakers on bringing a consensual decision, which the party plans to make, despite rounds of talk held earlier. Adding to the uncertainty, the constitutional deadline for convening the state assembly session has lapsed, fueling concerns that the Assembly could be placed under suspended animation.
With this rapidly evolving situation, all eyes are on the party’s leadership in Delhi, where a final decision is expected.
