March 19, 2025: All six MLAs from the Churachandpur district of Manipur have jointly called for peace in the district and urged the state government, particularly the District Administration, to take all requisite measures for the restoration and maintenance of law and order and harmony in the district as a top priority.
The infighting that has occurred over the past few days can disrupt peace and adversely affect unity and brotherhood. They urged resolving any issues without giving them a communal color to build a cohesive, united, and strong community.
The joint statement called for invoking Christian values of forgiveness to resolve the ongoing misunderstanding among the people in the interest of the community and for posterity.
The six MLAs include:
- Ngursanglur Sanate (Tipaimukh A/C)
- Letzamang Haokip (Henglep A/C)
- Paolienlal Haokip (Saikot A/C)
- Vungzagin Valte (Thanlon A/C)
- CM Khaute (Churachandpur A/C)
- Chinlunthang (Singngat A/C)
