To boost up the government’s Regional Connectivity efforts, Alliance Air under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is all set to launch its flights connecting from Imphal to Guwahati, Kolkata and Dimapur from 15th of January 2025.
Announcing this new development in ‘X’, the Ministry of Civil Aviation-GoI stated, “flight will bolster travel, trade, and tourism in Manipur region with new connectivity from across the country.”
Earlier, on Jan 1 2025, Manipur CM N Biren Singh also made an announcement that affordable air services in Manipur through Alliance Air, with fares capped at ₹5,000 will be made available and the government will subsidize tickets exceeding this limit.
The service will operate twice a week on the Imphal-Guwahati, Imphal-Kolkata, and Imphal-Dimapur routes. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity, boost regional development, and make air travel more accessible and affordable for the people of Manipur.
