One of the prominent CSOs, the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (Manipur), is set to organize the observance of ‘Aniraksuba 3/5 Ningshing Numit’ with the theme ‘Bridging Divides for the Shared Future’ (Napak Tanariba Adu Tunglamchat Kidamakta Punsinnaba).
The said event and observance will be held tomorrow (3rd May 2025) at 10 AM (Malia Phampalcha Kumsing-2323) at Yumnam Khunou Community Hall, Khundrakpam, Imphal East District.
The programme, that is all set to begin, will start off under the presence of BM. Yaima Shah, Acting President of FOCS and Chairman of the Organising Committee; Haopu Kom, President of Kom Tribe Union (Valley); Dr. K. Heera Kabui, President of Kabui Union, Manipur; Julia Shinglai, former AMSU; ML Medun Maring, President of Maring Catholic Congress; RK Phillip, President of Thangal Union; Abdul Hakim, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, DMU; Sorokhaibam Chandi, Secretary of Women Empowerment Association, Yumnam Khunou Awang; and Thangjam Bina, Secretary, Nishaband, Yumnam Khunou Makha.
The keynote address will be given by Rakesh Moirangthem, Convener of the Organising Committee. The welcome address will be delivered by Laitonjam (O) Ashalata, a member of the organising team. Invitees from Churachandpur (CCpur), Moreh, Kangpokpi, Ikou, and Irengbam Rojita Leima—representing Meitei Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)—will deliver speeches alongside members of the presidium. Retired IAS officer Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh will attend the programme as a resource person.
