March 3, 2025: Under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) scheme, another two patients from Manipur have availed financial assistance for their treatments, following a recommendation made by Manipur MP Maharaja Sanajaoba Leisemba.
Manipur MP Maharaja Sanajaoba Leisemba expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the noble initiative (scheme) on behalf of the patients and their families for such a noble initiative.
The PMNRF scheme sanctioned a total of ₹2,42,500 to two beneficiaries undergoing cancer treatment. Under the noble scheme, ₹92,500 was sanctioned for Melody Thangjam, wife of Thokchom Gupta Singh of Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai, a resident of Imphal West, for her treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, while another ₹1.5 lakh was sanctioned for Maibam Bijoy Singh, son of M. Tomba Singh of Lourembam Maibam Leikai of Nambol, Bishnupur district, Manipur, for his treatment at RIMS Hospital, Manipur.
Earlier, in the last 4 to 5 years, many patients from Manipur have availed the assistance with recommendations from the MP.
