Feb. 21, 2025: Around 28 members of Arambai Tengol, including the commander of Unit-26 Kakching, were taken into custody by the Assam Rifles in the early hours of this morning in the Kakching district of Manipur.
Many locals attempted to intervene in the AR convoy; however, the AT members were whisked away by the AR in their vehicles from the Panlao-Panjin area, where an AT camp is located.
The situation is still developing, and more details are awaited. However, local sources report that one Assam Rifles vehicle, which accompanied the other vehicles, was stopped by the womenfolk in the area.
