Arambai Tenggol Bats for NRC in Manipur to Tackle Illegal Immigration Surge

Amid growing concerns over unchecked illegal immigration in Manipur, Arambai Tenggol has advocated for the immediate implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state.

The group warns that the rising influx from Myanmar and Bangladesh is not only straining infrastructure and local employment but also threatening the state’s democratic fabric and indigenous identity.

In a statement issued by its Control Room Operator at the General Headquarters, Arambai Tenggol stressed that illegal immigrants without valid documents are influencing electoral processes and diluting the rightful representation of native communities.

The porous international border further raises the risk of anti-national elements exploiting the situation, posing serious threats to national security.

The group asserted that without first identifying and deporting illegal immigrants through NRC, any upcoming census in Manipur will be flawed and dangerous.

It called on the Government of India to act urgently to protect the interests of the indigenous people and uphold constitutional order.
