In search a operation conducted in fringe area of hills district, Manipur Police has recovered arms, ammunition and explosive items on Monday (13 Jan).
According to Manipur Police, the item recovered in the search operations includes, 02(two) nos. of Bolt Action Rifle, 03(three) nos. of 9mm Pistol, 01(one) 0.32 Pistol, 01(one) Pistol, 03(three) nos. of No. 36 Hand Grenades, 04(four) nos. of Electric Detonators, 03(three) nos. of Detonators(No.36 Hand grenade), 02(two) nos. of .380mm live round ammunitions, 04(four) nos. of 0.22 mm live round ammunitions, 04(four) nos. of 9 mm live round ammunitions, 02 (two) nos. of Tear Smoke shell (SR), 01 (one) Gas Gun shell, 01 (one) Tear Smoke (LR) and 01 (one) Baofeng Radio Set.
The said items were recovered during search and area domination from Phayeng ridge between Freedom Hill and Phayeng village (under New Keithelmanbi-PS), Kangpokpi District.
