Jan 25, 2025: Manipur Police, during an operation and area domination exercise in the fringe area of the valley districts, recovered arms and ammunition from Awang Potsangbam Hill under Heingang PS, Imphal East District.
According to Manipur Police, the recovered items include:
- 01 (one) SLR Rifle without magazine
- 01 (one) SMG Carbine without magazine
- 01 (one) .32 Pistol (marked as Made in USA) with magazine
- 02 (two) 51 mm Mortar (country-made)
- 02 (two) .32 live ammunition
- 01 (one) No. 36 Hand Grenade without detonator
- 01 (one) Grenade No. 80 Mark-1
- 01 (one) Smoke Shell 50 m
- 01 (one) Wireless Radio Set (Baofeng)
