March 1, 2025 : As a step toward fostering peace and heeding Manipur’s Governor’s call, a large number of illegally held weapons continue to be deposited by civilians in response to the appeal. Today, a significant cache of arms and other items was surrendered to the Commando Unit (CDO) Bishnupur.
The surrendered items include various firearms, explosives, protective gear, and ammunition. The details are as follows:
A .303 Rifle (01), DBBL (01), SBBL (04), No. 36 HE grenade (06), .32 Pistol (country-made) (01), .32 Pistol Magazine (01), Camouflage Pants (02), Bulletproof Jackets (vests) (19), Bulletproof Helmets (06), Camouflage Shirts (02), Camouflage T-shirts (02), Camouflage P-Cap (01), Baofeng Wireless Set (01), Bulletproof Plates (09), 12 Bore Cartridges (04), .303 Ammunition (54), SLR Ammunition (11), 5.56 Amogh Live Ammunition (10), Detonators (09), WP Smoke Grenades (03), INSAS LMG Magazines (02), INSAS Rifle Magazine (01), Signal Cartridges (03), Bicart Strips (07), .303 mm Blank Cartridges (10), Wood Piercing Shells (02), .303 Ammunition Chargers (05), and 7.62 mm Ammunition Chargers (13).
