In a continued effort to maintain law and order, security forces conducted extensive search and area domination operations in fringe and vulnerable areas across the hill and valley districts. During the operation, a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive materials was recovered from Keipha Road and Khuman area under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur District.
The recovered items include one Carbine Machine Gun with an empty magazine, one .303 Rifle without magazine, four Single Barrel (SBBL) Guns, two country-made 9 mm pistols, two hand grenades, two IEDs weighing approximately 2.2 kg and 1.7 kg, two tube grenade launching pipes, two tube grenade launching rings, two tear smoke grenades, one No. 80 smoke grenade, ten .303 live rounds, seven ballistic live rounds, fifteen 7.62 mm empty cartridges, four 7.62 mm AK empty cartridges, twenty-eight 5.56 mm empty cartridges, one bulletproof helmet, one Baofeng communication set with four chargers, and two plastic sacks used for concealing the items.
Authorities stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to prevent potential threats and ensure public safety in the region. Further investigation is underway.
