Arms Cache Seized in Lunkhongjang Ridges During Security Operation

Security personnel uncovered a cache of weaponry from the Lunkhongjang Ridges area, under the jurisdiction of New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi District, on Sunday. The discovery was made during a targeted search operation aimed at securing vulnerable regions along the fringes of the hill and valley districts.

The operation led to the recovery of a significant arsenal, including one 7.62 mm sniper rifle, five 9 mm pistols with magazines, two SBBL guns, and two No. 36 hand grenades. Additionally, six live rounds of ammunition, two stun shells, a tear smoke shell (chilli variant), a regular tear smoke shell, and a Motorola communication set were seized.

This operation marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to stabilize and secure the region.
