Feb. 10, 2025: Police arrested one arms trafficker on Sunday in an operation in the general area of Kawnpui under Churachandpur District and apprehended a person with two small arms along with various ammunition.
The person arrested during the operation, Thangkholal Haokip (35), was involved in weapon trafficking.
The following items were recovered from his possession:
i. One (01) Colt 7.65mm Auto Pistol
ii. One (01) 9mm Pistol (country-made)
iii. Two (02) magazines of Colt 7.65mm Auto Pistol
iv. One (01) magazine of 9mm Pistol (country-made)
v. Eleven (11) live rounds of 7.65mm Auto Pistol ammunition
vi. Five (05) live rounds of 9mm Pistol ammunition (country-made)
vii. One (01) pistol holster
viii. One (01) two-wheeler
ix. One (01) mobile phone
