Feb. 7, 2025: The anti-opium drive has begun in Arunachal Pradesh, and around 22.5 hectares have been destroyed so far.
In a recent drive, Assam Rifles, along with the Central Bureau of Narcotics, CRPF, and Arunachal Police, carried out a large-scale destruction operation in South Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai district on Thursday, according to reports.
Over 180 hectares of illegal poppy cultivation worth Rs 30 crores have been identified and destroyed so far to disrupt any funding to unlawful organizations.
