The seizure of FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) has been on the rise in Assam; the Dispur Police once again recovered ₹36,45,000/- in FICN, along with a printer, machine papers, and other incriminating materials from a rented house in the Zoo area in a raid today.
The apprehended persons, along with the FICN, have been identified as Sufiya Khatun (28) from Barpeta, Mainul Ali (30) from Bihpuria, and Mahidul Bhiyan (29) from Barpeta.
Earlier on November 11th, an EDGP team from Hatigaon PS recovered and seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) with a face value of ₹133,500. The haul included four bundles totaling 267 notes of ₹500 denomination, all bearing identical serial numbers — 756746, 756747, and 756748.
The person apprehended has been identified as Sabiul Islam of South Salmara-Mankachar, arrested from a rented house in Surabhi Path in a raid.
