March 5, 2025: Assam Rifles successfully controlled a forest fire that broke out in Khongnang Phaisabi village, Kakching district, on March 4, preventing major damage to the forest and security infrastructure.
The fire erupted at around 2:40 PM and spread rapidly, posing a serious threat to the security posts of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police. Acting swiftly, a team from Assam Rifles, equipped with fire extinguishers, fire beaters, and buckets, rushed to the site and began firefighting efforts. They coordinated with Manipur Police, the Forest Department, and Fire Services, battling the flames throughout the night.
By the next morning, the fire was successfully contained, ensuring the protection of both the environment and security installations. The prompt response of Assam Rifles was widely appreciated by state agencies and local authorities, recognizing their commitment to safeguarding the region.
