March 11, 2025 : In a significant step towards community development, Assam Rifles inaugurated two key infrastructure projects in Manipur under Operation Sadbhavana, reinforcing its commitment to local welfare.
On 10 March 2025, a traders’ shed was inaugurated at Kangpat Khunou Village, Kamjong District, aimed at empowering local villagers by providing a structured marketplace. The shed will support farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs—especially from the Tangkhul community—by offering a dedicated space for trade and self-employment activities. Around 150 villagers, including local leaders and residents, attended the event, reflecting the strong bond between Assam Rifles and the local population.
Following this, on 11 March 2025, Assam Rifles inaugurated a Community Hall in Gelbung Village, Churachandpur District. Designed to host social, cultural, and educational events, the hall is expected to enhance community engagement, skill development, and welfare initiatives. Local leaders and residents expressed gratitude for Assam Rifles’ unwavering support.
By undertaking such initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to uphold its role as the “Sentinels of the Northeast” and a key development partner for the people of Manipur.
