March 5, 2025: The Assam Rifles paid a heartfelt tribute to Naib Subedar Late P Srinivas Rao of 33 Assam Rifles, who made the supreme sacrifice on September 9, 2012, in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast while performing Road Opening Party duties at Moirang Khunou, Manipur.
To honour his bravery, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the National War Memorial, New Delhi, on March 4, 2025. The ceremony was attended by his wife, Smt. P Padmaja, and daughter, Miss P Nikita, along with senior officials and personnel of the Assam Rifles.
The event reaffirmed the Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to honouring its martyrs and ensuring that their sacrifices remain remembered in the nation’s history.
