Marking a significant milestone in youth empowerment and national service, Assam Rifles felicitated 14 local youths today who successfully qualified for the Agniveer (Indian Army) and Agniveervayu (Indian Air Force) selections. The felicitation ceremony, held at the Assam Rifles base at Nambol, Bishnupur, celebrated the determination and perseverance of these candidates, who emerged victorious after undergoing a rigorous pre-recruitment training programme conducted by the force.
The success of these candidates is the culmination of a well-structured and comprehensive training regimen conducted by Assam Rifles at Nambol. This preparation phase included intensive physical conditioning, focused academic coaching for written examinations, and detailed guidance on service-specific requirements. Recognising the importance of physical excellence, the participants were also provided essential nutritional support and curated diet plans to ensure the trainees met the stringent standards of the Agnipath scheme selection process.
During the event, which was attended by Assam Rifles officials and troops, the newly selected Agniveers expressed their gratitude for the professional mentorship and disciplined environment that facilitated their success. In a symbolic gesture reflecting the camaraderie forged during training, the candidates and Assam Rifles personnel performed a final set of push-ups together, epitomising the shared values of military discipline and mutual respect. Such initiatives serve as a vital bridge between the security forces and the community, playing a crucial role in national integration and providing a constructive pathway for local talent to contribute to nation-building through dedicated service in the armed forces.
