AT Kudos Govt Efforts to Restore Vandalized Temples and Meitei Shrine

March 10, 2025 : The Arambai Tenggol has expressed high commendation for the Central Government’s initiative to restore religious places damaged or vandalized during the conflict that started on May 3, 2023.

“The recent ethnic conflict has left a scar on the people and their beliefs, especially on the Hindu and Meitei communities. It is in this time of distress that the Central Government has taken a step towards peace and restoration. And as responsible citizens of India, it is our duty to respect and support this initiative,” said a statement issued by PRO AT, Robin Khuman.

The statement also said it is a significant move towards bringing back harmony and preserving the cultural heritage of the state. It also urged the state administration to take immediate measures to reconstruct the damaged and vandalized Hindu temples and Meitei religious places that were destroyed during the conflict. “These sacred places hold great value to our community and our faith, and their reconstruction will not only bring a sense of peace but also a sense of unity among all communities,” said a statement issued by AT PRO, Robin Khuman.

Additionally, the statement issued a strong warning to those they described as “Kuki Narco Terrorists and illegal immigrants,” urging them to cease all activities that threaten Manipur’s territorial integrity. The group reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Manipur and ensuring that efforts to disintegrate the state would not go unchallenged.

Arambai Tenggol expressed full support for the Central Government’s measures in addressing the ongoing crisis and urged all communities to respect the Indian Constitution. “Let peace prevail in Manipur, and let us all strive towards a brighter future for our beloved state,” the statement concluded.
