In joint operations carried out by the security forces between July 29 and August 4 in various parts of the valley areas and hill districts, 69 weapons, 16 IEDs, grenades, ammunition, radio sets, and other warlike stores have been recovered, according to information received here.
The operation also led to the arrest of at least 15 active insurgent members from both hill- and valley-based groups. Key recoveries were made in forested and high-risk zones such as Dampi Ridge, Tollen, and K. Geljang in Churachandpur, as well as parts of Imphal East and West.
