The Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (AVBD) Manipur, Thoubal District Branch, observed its 15th Foundation Day on Sunday at the Multi-Purpose Hall located in Khangabok Part (II).
As part of the programme, the Association extended warm greetings to its members and distributed special gifts to acknowledge their contributions. Additionally, AVBD Thoubal Branch released a calendar highlighting the scheduled activities and events for the upcoming year 2026.
MLA of Khangabok Constituency Okram Surjakumar Singh, AVBD Manipur President Ak Brogen Singh, AVBD Thoubal Branch President Leishangthem Sanatombi Devi, and Thoubal CMO Dr. Y. Nokul attended the event as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
In his chief guest address, MLA Surjakumar stated that donating blood is one of the greatest contributions a person can make towards saving lives. A single unit of blood can help multiple people by providing life and hope. He further encouraged healthy individuals to come forward voluntarily and donate blood to help those in need.
The Secretary of AVBD Thoubal Branch, Nabakumar Thokchom, noted that since the association’s inception, it has continuously served the people, and over these 15 years, it has undertaken several meaningful initiatives related to voluntary blood donation.
