April 3, 2026 (KAKCHING): An awareness-cum-training programme regarding the proper usage of LPG gas and the safety precautions to be taken by LPG consumers to avoid accidents was held on Friday at Elangkhanpokpi and Langmeidong, Kakching district.
The first awareness programme was organised by the Library and Educational Guidance-cum-Cultural Organisation in collaboration with All Gas Care (AGC) Manipur State at the Elangkhanpokpi Mamang Leikai Library Hall. The second programme was organised by the Langmeidong Maning Awang Leikai Meira Paibi at the Langmeidong YDC Club Community Hall.
All Gas Care (AGC) Manipur State Manager Shagolsem Joyprakash and AGC Field Assistant and renowned comedian Happy Rajen participated in the awareness programme.
Before the programme began, renowned comedian Happy Rajen entertained the public and provided a brief demonstration on how to stay safe from fire accidents caused by LPG gas.
Regarding the practical training on gas usage and safety measures, AGC Manipur State Manager Sh. Joyprakash stated that today’s training is very important and essential, especially for women.
He further elaborated that while using LPG gas for cooking, all problems will be indicated by gas stoves. However, because of unawareness or lack of knowledge, people do not respond to the signals, and thus incidents of gas leaks occur frequently. He stated that this awareness-cum-training programme was organised to make the public aware of what actions can be taken and also to share information with the people.
The organising localities expressed their gratitude to the AGC staff for conducting this very important programme.
