Chandel, November 14: The District Industries Centre (DIC), Chandel, today organised a one-day Awareness-cum-Udyam Registration Drive at the Multi-Purpose Hall, DC Complex, Chandel. The programme was held under the Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
Initiated by the General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Manipur, the event witnessed the participation of key officials, including Th. Bijoy Singh, Chairperson of DLC-RAMP Chandel and GM of DIC Chandel; A. Altias, Lead District Manager (LDM); and Ruwngdar Everjoy, District Manager, MSRLM Chandel.
Addressing the participants, Th. Bijoy Singh highlighted various MSME schemes and credit facilities available through financial institutions. He encouraged all unregistered entrepreneurs to take advantage of the drive and complete their Udyam registration without delay.
The Lead District Manager delivered the keynote address, focusing on the importance of financial literacy and explaining how financial institutions support MSMEs in accessing benefits under the RAMP scheme.
Ruwngdar Everjoy concluded the programme with a short address and facilitated on-spot Udyam registrations for attendees.
The drive saw enthusiastic participation from village authority members, SHG representatives, and local villagers, marking a strong community effort toward strengthening and empowering MSMEs in Chandel district.
