Awareness-cum-Udyam Registration Drive Held in Thoubal

Thoubal, November 13, 2025: A one-day Awareness-cum-Udyam Registration Drive was organized today by the District Industries Centre (DIC), Thoubal at Heirok Part–III, Tourangbam Leikai Community Hall under the Wangjing Tentha C.D. Block. The programme was conducted under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.

The dais members included Dr. Meitram Uttam Luwang, Lead District Manager (LDM), Thoubal District; Soibam Nabakunja Singh, General Manager, DIC Thoubal & Kakching; and Sapam Lalhari Singh, District Informatics Officer (DIO), DIT Thoubal & Kakching District.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Uttam Luwang highlighted the benefits and support schemes available to entrepreneurs working in the MSME sector, including credit facilities from financial institutions. He appealed to all unregistered entrepreneurs to take advantage of the Udyam Registration Drive, which facilitates registration for individuals engaged in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) activities.

The camp witnessed encouraging participation of around 150 entrepreneurs from the area, who registered and received guidance on various MSME-related schemes and opportunities.

It was also announced that another registration camp will be organized at Heirok Part–II, Thokchom Leikai (near CHC Hospital) on November 15, 2025 (Saturday) under the Wangjing Tentha C.D. Block, Thoubal District, to further assist local entrepreneurs in availing the benefits of MSME schemes.
