Bolstering workplace safety, a one-day orientation on The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013 was conducted at the DC Office Complex. Organized jointly by the Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) and the District Administration, the session drew participation from district-level officers and stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, MSCW officials highlighted the Act’s crucial role in ensuring women’s safety and dignity across professional environments.
Emphasising the need for a robust grievance redressal mechanism, district authorities outlined strategic measures, including the formation of Local Complaint Committees (LCC) and Internal Complaint Committees (ICC).
Advocate Grace Chinhoihniang delivered a comprehensive presentation on the legal intricacies of the Act, fostering interactive discussions among attendees.
The event concluded with a call to action, urging participants to champion awareness and contribute to a secure workplace culture.
