Director of Kumecs City Centre, Roshan, along with renowned Manipuri actress Bala Hijam, felicitated Veihriilo Lanah, winner of Mr. Deaf India 2025, at a ceremony in Imphal. Roshan extended both moral and financial support to Lanah ahead of his representation of India at the 12th Miss & Mister Deaf Universe 2025, scheduled from 28th November to 8th December in Gallipoli and Lecce, Italy.
Lanah, son of L.R. Maki from Chingmeirong, Poumai Colony, Imphal East, will depart for New Delhi on 27th October for costume preparation, rehearsal, and final grooming, as directed by the organisers, All India Deaf Arts and Cultural Society (AIDACS) and the MNS Skills India Foundation. The grand finale of the competition is slated for 6th December 2025.
As the special guest, Bala Hijam congratulated Veihriilo Lanah and wished him success on the international stage. She also discussed ways to work for the upliftment of differently-abled individuals in Manipur and expressed her intention to highlight their struggles and aspirations in her future films. Bala shared her interest in collaborating with Lanah to promote awareness and inclusivity through creative and social initiatives.
The event was organised as a felicitation-cum-send-off ceremony to celebrate Lanah’s achievements and to extend best wishes for his successful representation of both Manipur and India on the global platform.
