Feb 27, 2025 : The Bishnupur District Administration, in collaboration with the Bishnupur District Olympic Association, recently celebrated the achievements of eight local athletes who triumphed at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand.
Held from January 28 to February 14, the games saw Bishnupur shine with one gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.
The felicitation ceremony, held at the Mini Secretariat Complex, honored:
🏅 Gold Medalist – H. Robinson Singh (Wushu, 52 kg)
🥈 Silver Medalists – Th. Jodhajit Singh (Wushu, 85 kg) and A. Sanayaima Singh (Wushu, 65 kg)
🥉 Bronze Medalists – O. Bidyapati Chanu (Wushu, 56 kg), Haobijam Tendenthoi (Rowing, W2x2000M), Thangjam Priya Devi (Rowing, W2x2000M), Chinglemba Singh (Boxing, 51 kg), and Lamabam Nilam Devi (Weightlifting, 55 kg)
DC Lourembam Bikram and DYASO Yumkhiabam Ibeyaima Devi presented the athletes with bouquets, cash awards, and Lengyan. They praised the athletes’ dedication and called for continued support for sports in the district.
