Bishnupur, Dec 9 — The District Consultative Committee (DCC), District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and Block Level Bankers’ Committee (BLBC) convened their quarterly meeting for the September 2025 quarter today at the Mini Secretariat Complex, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Toijam Opendro.
The meeting assessed the district’s overall progress in business development and government-sponsored schemes, with emphasis on promoting feasible and viable units under various programmes. Officials discussed strengthening credit banking services, achieving full digitalization, improving Self-Help Group linkages, and enhancing the implementation of the Kisan Credit Card scheme and Financial Literacy Camps.
Block-level credit performance and operational challenges in executing credit programmes were also reviewed. The committee conducted a detailed evaluation of major government schemes such as PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma, PMSGMBY, and KCC, while key financial inclusion issues were deliberated.
Organised by the Lead District Manager’s Office, Punjab National Bank, Imphal, the meeting was attended by representatives from RBI, NABARD, MSRLM, district banks and local bodies.
Held quarterly, the forum serves as a mechanism to monitor Annual Credit Plan implementation, identify gaps in credit flow, and formulate district-level solutions.
