Feb 2, 2026 (IMP): The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary, as Central Observer for the election of the Legislative Party Leader in Manipur on Monday, according to a statement issued by BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge Arun Singh.
Tarun Chugh, who wears many hats in the BJP, has taken on multiple responsibilities for the party. He was earlier the BJP in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir and also served as BJP in-charge of Andaman and Nicobar, as well as co-in-charge of Delhi State.
He was also entrusted with working as General Secretary of BJP Punjab and served as in-charge of the Doaba Zone (11 district units) and in-charge of the BJP Youth Wing earlier.
