With the BJP discussion over tea coming to an end, the state president A. Sharda Devi highlighted to the media that pressure has been made to reinstate a popular government as per the people’s wishes and that the central leaders understood the people’s sentiments.
The BJP president also said today’s meeting was attended by all the legislators, except 8 who were out of station or had personal inconveniences.
The objective of the meeting was to highlight information on the recent meeting with central leaders, and the meeting with the central leaders was to convey the people’s sentiment—that is, the people’s wishes for a popular government and other unfortunate events.
Central leaders understood the people’s sentiments and still have no negative responses against the interest of Manipur and its people, and the pressure has been made to reinstate a popular government.
Government formation needs public support, and currently, with this peace process, all need to go together in the same direction, whether it be CSOs or political parties, she added.
