DEC 26, 2025 (GUA): With the approach of the general elections in Assam, political parties have stepped up their activities. BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin landed in Guwahati today and was received by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to participate in the BJP Assam state executive meeting.
At the state executive meeting, BJP karyakartas renewed their commitment to deepen their connection with the people and fulfil their aspirations under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also arrive in Guwahati to inaugurate the Northeast’s largest auditorium, Jyoti Bishnu Prekhyagriha, with a seating capacity of 5,000.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the auditorium’s swift completion reflects Assam’s recent infrastructure growth. The auditorium will host public events and cultural activities in Assam and the surrounding region.
“Presenting to you the Jyoti Bishnu Prekhyagriha, the region’s largest auditorium with a capacity of 5,000 seats, to be inaugurated by Adarniya @AmitShah ji on 29th December. Built in record time, it is named after the icons of Assam’s cultural landscape as a tribute to them,” CM Sarma posted on X.
