JAN 26, 2025 (IMP/TBL): The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Tengnoupal, in collaboration with the Foundation of Rural Development (FORD), celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on Monday at Ford Children’s Home for Boys, Machi, Tengnoupal District.
The programme was organised in a spirit of patriotism and inclusiveness, with active participation of the children and staff of the Child Care Institution (CCI).
The national flag was unfurled, followed by brief remarks highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution of India, especially the rights and protection of children.
As part of the celebration, DCPU Tengnoupal distributed gifts along with sweets and fresh fruits to the children residing in the CCI, bringing joy and a sense of togetherness among them.
To further mark the occasion, an art competition was organised at the Ford Children’s Home, where the children showcased their creativity through drawings and paintings on themes related to the nation, freedom, unity, and hope.
The activity provided a platform for self-expression and encouraged confidence and imagination among the children.
The celebration concluded on a happy and meaningful note, reaffirming the collective commitment of DCPU Tengnoupal and FORD towards the care, protection, and holistic development of children in institutional care.
